The ancient museum "Hôtel-Dieu" would have been at first a commandery built in the XIIth century by the Knight Templars with its norman gate and its chapel. Eléonore de Courcelles, wife of Jean III de Coligny there installed the "Hôtel-Dieu" in the XVth century. Elizabeth Isabelle Angélique widow of Gaspard IV de Coligny restored it in the XVIIth century.

The archaeological and historical museum was installed on the instigation of Mr. Hubert Zurfluh in 1985. It presents the details of important local archaeological discoveries as well as those redrawing the history of the families of Coligny and Montmorency-Luxembourg. A big room was created on the work of four physicists Becquerel. It is classified "Museum of France".
